Achieving project success with Agility
Newer iterative methodologies promise to be very effective in where there is a need to lower delivery risk and produce working software relatively early. Yet many project managers who try them out find that they are unable to achieve the kind of results that these techniques are supposed to deliver.
This may be because the amount of information available on the subject of agile and iterative development, and they way that much of it is presented, can easily divert the attention of even the most gifted of project managers away from the fundamentals of disciplined delivery, which will never become obsolete.
